True Story... our hopes for AdrenalinA young Australian man of 22 had got bored with Church. He suffered with ADHT (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) and struggled to concentrate for any length of time – Church was particularly difficult!!
He decided that he would go waterskiing the next Sunday. This was his passion. He and two friends met at the lake and before they water-skied, he said, “I hope you don’t mind, but I’m used to being in Church on Sunday and I’d like to pray before we water-ski. Can I pray for any need you have? ”
One of his friends said he needed a job and the other told him that his mother was ill.
The young man prayed for them both and then they water-skied for the rest of the day. They agreed to meet back at the lake the following Sunday.
Sunday came and each of them had brought a few friends. The young man said the same thing again and was pleased to hear that one of his friends had got a job and the other’s mother had got well. He prayed for them all and they water-skied.
There are now 70 of them meeting each Sunday to water-ski. As part of their day they share Communion together on the beach and pray for each other.
