The old adage that men don’t like to ‘talk’ has been seen to be a false premise.
On every-other Saturday morning, at 9.00am, a group of men gather for breakfast, using either Tesco’s café in the Hamilton superstore or the Whetherspoon’s pub on Scraptoft Lane (Refer to diary dates). Apart from enjoying a ‘fry-up’ we also enjoy talking and sharing about almost anything - events in the week (personal and general), work, relationships, holidays, politics, football, rugby, food, pubs, church stuff - you name it - nothing is ‘off the agenda’ so to speak.
Why do we do this? Because it offers a great opportunity to make contacts, build relationships and to offer mutual support and encouragement - with respect to matters that relate to life in terms of the personal, the family, the church and to work as well as challenges and issues that have relevance to life in Britain today.
